Type Red, aged in new barrels.
Harvest First week of October.
Harvested by hand at sunrise so the grapes are received at the winery covered in the dew of the morning.
Serving temperature 16 to 18 degrees.
This wine is presented without stabilisers and with very light filtering, allowing for the presence of natural sediments which ensure its purity and integrity. This wine should therefore be decanted.
Appearance Intense cherry red with violet tones.
Nose High intensity, blackberry, vanilla, toasted wood and slight hints of cocoa. A metallic aroma is particularly notable, as well as phenol and floral tones typical of the variety.
Taste Powerful retronasal release with metallic and floral aromas as well as vanilla and dark-roasted tones. Mild attack, metallic, vanilla and toasted flavours mid-palate; its marked acidity, sweet tannins and light structure give it the refinement characteristic of the variety. Lingering metallic, vanilla and dark-roasted finish.
Pairing Meats, stews, wild game, pasta dishes and cheeses.
